This photo was taken in Calgary’s Nose Hill Park. On a very windy December day I went out and found the grey and white of the snow and clouds were spectacular. The lack of difference between the colour of the snow and clouds gives a sense of the ennui of winter which engenders a feeling that it will never end. Nothing is separate, the days and nights blend in unending cold. I shot the area with some grass springing up to give some context and I feel that the grass further represents the plight of those of us enduring the harsh winter climate.
